We are attached to a registered charity Friends of the Hunter Orthopaedic School (FOTHOS) and receive support from other local and national charities that enable us to purchase vital equipment.
FOTHOS is the registered charity attached to Newcastle Senior School, which is run by families, community members and school staff. FOTHOS provides 4 buses, for use by the school, as well as other organisations which support children and young people with disabilities.
FOTHOS currently has a run with Assisted School Travel which assists with covering the running costs of the buses. At various times additional fundraising is necessary and we have to call on the support of the school and wider community to assist with this.
Additional members are always being sought and are welcome to attend our meetings held once per term. If you would be willing to support this organisation in any way please contact Newcastle Senior School on 02 4985 3122.
